2016
Phase III of Commuters Without Borders is the development of new products for cyclists that will help increase the accessibility, sustainability and desirability of using a bicycle as the primary means of transportation in a city.
The Hip-Hop is the first product to spring out of Commuters Without Borders — pun intended!
This unique bicycle has a spring-powered mechanism activated by hip movement.
Why is the Hip-Hop a better bike? It’s chainless, uses less material, weighs less, creates less waste, is retractable, and is easy to use and fun.
Two versions will be available: for the bike enthusiasts and for individuals with amputated legs. Three main contact points to develop: seat, handlers, foot support.
